Cartoons

I have two young children, and I sometimes question the kids programming on television. We have our televisions programming through Direct TV from www.expertsatellite.com, and we have several channels that are dedicated to cartoons or kids programming in general. However, when I watch many of these cartoons, I see shows that are very flashy and fast-paced. They are very loud, and they often jump from scene to scene. It concerns me because I it creates such a fast-paced form of entertainment. I am an elementary school teacher, and I see students every day that cannot sit still or have difficulty paying attention to anything for a long period of time. It is my opinion that some of the television programming today is actually assisting with this problem in the schools. I no longer let my children watch some of the programming that I once did, not because of the content of the shows but because of the format of the shows. I just wonder if they get too used to being entertained constantly they will struggle in school if they do not find it entertaining.
