Why do we need a flu season?
It has been a long time since the flu has hit me hard, and all I can think is that it is my body's way of purging itself of the negativity of the past month and a half, but oh gawd I wish there was no such thing as "flu season".
I caught a sore throat from the young man I take care of in the daytime, and it went from sore throat to two days of being unable to think and losing balance when I tried to walk, and in to its current state of sitting bundled up in a blanket at the computer trying to catch up on work I missed out on because of drama and preferring the thought of going to bed early tonight rather than working.
Thankfully I am at the tail end of this, so tomorrow I should feel well enough to go to town and get some comfort foodstuffs to see me on through the rest of the recovery process. So far it has been so bad that I have not even had a chance to think about what I need to do before I pass out at night, and that means there has been no exercise going on. There has, thankfully been little in the way of indulging - unless you count cocoa with whipped cream on top of it. But I have the Fat Free Nestle that has only about 22 calories a cup - and it is gooood! :-D
